interlude. Rise and Fall

The noops' fragile souls, which had not long ago risen and matured in the scenery, finally withered to dust. All the creatures were swiped off the ground and the landscape was once again pitch black and lifeless. Only the cold wind whispers cut through the meager trees.
Their remnants were precious and so knew the elastomer, it tirelessly caught their goodness, spore by spore. Now safely stored in wombs below the ground carefully separated by species, this dust would become the life force of the generation to come.
It could have been just within the blink of an eye, or the passing of ages. In the beginning there was only a small spark in the black sky, a glimpse of light at the end of a tunnel. As time passes, the shy light will start to glare, and with every day the sun persistently reclaiming the heavens. The elastomer, heated by the sun, will begin to squeak and to creak, to wobble and to bounce. Like a chain reaction, emitting the signal of the approaching spring deep into the ground.
This will be their awakening. Roused by the movement and noise that intrude from upper ground, the noop spores will begin to tremble. Once the sun beams through the bright sky, the elastomer shall finally open up its birth canals spraying the spores high in the sky. A new era is coming.
